England’s Premier League features some of the most spectacular sporting and football talent in the world. Its best teams have seen some remarkable success over the years, and the last decade has been a fantastic period for English football. Some of the teams in the Premier League have enjoyed the best success of any team in the world in the last decade.
Today, we’re going to look at some of those teams, and what great success they’ve enjoyed in recent years. Let’s get started.
- Liverpool
Staring with Liverpoool, where manager Jurgen Klopp managed to swipe his first trophy as a team manager, we can see this is one of the most successful teams of the last decade. The Liverpool team managed to win their sixth European Crown against Tottenham, in June of 2019. They also took home the Football League Cup in the 2011/12 season.
Though their performances have been somewhat up and down in other trophies and championships, and these have been the two main trophies they’ve been able to win, that still makes them the fifth most successful Premier League team of the last ten years.
- Arsenal
Arsenal is actually the most successful English club of all time in the FA Cup tournament, having won it a total of thirteen times over the years. Three of those occasions have been over the last decade, where the team have lifted the trophy in 2014, 2015, and 2017. These three major trophies make Arsenal one of the most successful teams of the last decade. It is no surprise then that they regularly appear as the topmost bet on team amongst the best betting sites in Ireland. Bettors in Ireland clearly favour the gunners and their following both in Ireland and the UK is mainly down to the fact they have been consistent over the years, returning good returns on any wagers placed.

- Manchester United
Naturally, it is unsurprising to see the Manchester reds on this list. On the world stage, United are certainly one of the most successful, as well as the most well-known, Premier League teams in the world. And though that success has not been coming as thick and fast as they are perhaps used to over the last decade, they remain one of the most successful Premier League teams.
They were able to secure Premier League titles in 2012/13, the Europa League in 2016/17, the FA Cup in 2015/16, and a variety of other trophies, too. Over the last decade they have brought 6 major trophies to Old Trafford, making them one of the most successful Premier League teams of the last decade.
- Manchester City
For all United’s fame and success, though, in recent years, they just haven’t been able to match up to their blue rivals. Manchester City have enjoyed huge success over the last ten years, helped in no small degree by the financial backing of the Abu Dhabi Group. They’ve been able to have their choice of players and managers.
In 2012, City won their first Premier League title. They swiped the victory from the jaws of defeat, scoring two goals in injury time against their rivals, United. Few could forget this iconic game. In 2014, they secured the title again, and would later go on to win the League in successive years from 2018 to 2019. Reaching 100 points in a season at one time, they were the first Premier League team ever to do so.
In 2014, ’16, ’18 and ’19, they also brought home the League Cup, as well as the FA Cup in 2019. With 10 major trophies over the last decade, they are the second most successful Premier League team.
- Chelsea
Unmatched over the last ten years are the Blues, Chelsea. In terms of trophies won, they are the most successful Premier League team of the last decade. They have won eleven trophies since 2010, and they remain the only London team ever to have taken home the Champion’s League trophy. They have also won the Premier League twice in the last ten years, as well as the UEFA Europa League in 2019.
They’ve also taken home the FA Cup four times and won the League Cup alongside that.
Without doubt, no team has enjoyed as much success as Chelsea over the last ten years. The team has been raised to great heights over the last two decades, and the fruits of that have been seen most recently in these last few years.
It’s easy to see the level of success that some teams have had over the last decade, then. The last ten years have been an incredibly great period for a number of teams, but few have done so well as Chelsea. Even then, the success of every team on this list is quite staggering, and so that just goes to show the sheer level of talent in the English Premier League.
