The All-New 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Convertible Roadster

In the world of more complex performance cars, the clean and elemental power of the Mazda MX-5 Miata is proof that you don’t need fast tech to go have a great time.

According to carsflow.com, among many sports cars, the Miata offers the thrill and excitement that any eager driver seeks, which makes it all the more appealing.

    Mazda MX-5 2024

The Mazda MX-5 Miata remains among the best SUVs for woman. Since it was first launched in 1989, this two-seater sloped top has delighted car lovers with its mind-blowing agility. The current four-generation Miata has been in service since 2016, marking an eight-year anniversary and showing signs of renewal.

A few spy shots confirm that Mazda is working on something new, and officials have confirmed that the Miata will return.

Whether the fifth-generation Miata will be a 2024 model or a 2025 model is unclear at this point. Often, with no official news, we are left to speculate, so here are some of our best guesses. We are confident that the Miata will continue with the internal combustion engine and will likely remain with a four-cylinder that produces around 200 hp with three pedals for. But it’s not guaranteed. We also expect it to be rear wheel only.

Some of the wildest predictions include a simple hybrid system, but that could add a lot of weight to the featherweight Miata. That, in turn, makes full electrification unlikely because squeezing enough batteries into small roadsters would be a challenge to offer efficient and competitive products.

    Mazda MX-5 2024 Tech

In Miata, two USB ports are standard and there’s also an impressive list of driver assistance features — the blind-spot warning system is particularly useful if you choose to lock it.

The nine-speaker Bose audio system does a good job of filling the room with sound and high tech. Voice control is minimal and sticks to the on-screen prompt menu, but the system recognizes speech well. The instructions there work well enough but are quite basic in size and design.

Despite its small size, the Miata isn’t sloppy. It’s well built and every item has a solid feel to it, although the gear lever may rattle. Soft plastics and an abundance of leather upholstery, typical of Mazdas these days, make the interior feel luxurious. Though the price creeps up with higher trims and option packages, overall the Miata is a good value.

Mazda’s bumper-to-bumper warranty is three years/36,000 miles, while the powertrain is covered for five years/60,000 miles. These are averages for the segment. Roadside assistance is provided for three years/36,000 miles, which is below average for less luxurious convertibles.

    What about Storage?

No one should expect a two-seater to be a convertible, so the Miata’s lack of carrying capacity shouldn’t come as a surprise. The Miata’s trunk measures just 4.6 cubic feet, which means it won’t be suitable for long trips that require each passenger to carry more than one piece of luggage.

The space is long enough for luggage or a few long shopping bags. But unlike larger convertibles, there are no rear seats to be used as luggage racks. There’s not even a glove box. Instead, the Miata simply has a small bin between the seats that serves as the main storage area for items such as smartphones, wallets or small handbags

The forward-facing seat or booster has enough room for one child or a small child. There are no car seat anchors or overhead fastening points.

    Interior?

Mazda Miata’s sleek interior design makes the most of the space and puts driving pleasure first.

Drivers over 6 feet tall will notice a lack of headroom and legroom. Also, passenger legroom is smaller than the driver’s and taller passengers can’t spread their legs at all no matter how far the seats are pushed back. Lack of space is the only real downfall of this car, though it’s not particularly surprising.

One of the best things about soft-top Miatas is how quickly you can retract and extend the top. It’s a manual top, so there’s no power performance, but it’s pretty easy to do

    Bottom Line

Now we are concluding our review of Mazda Miata 2024. Obviously there are good things in store for Mazda lovers and it is sure to win your heart after the launch that is supposed to be somewhere in 2024.
